BEVZA S/S '23

During New York Fashion Week, Ukrainian designer Svitlana Bevza took Wall Street by storm with her S/S ’23 collection. As guests convened at 30 Wall Street, an abandoned historical landmark that once served as a bank in the Financial District, they were greeted by simple decor with a powerful message. Near-empty bread racks lined the back of the venue, serving as a backdrop for the runway and symbolizing Ukraine’s current agricultural struggles pertaining to their wheat production and exportation methods being threatened. From the details in the models’ hair to the Ukrainian flag projected on the wall, every moment was executed to demonstrate Ukraine’s resilience in its current political climate.
