HERMÈS IN THE MAKING

In the summer of 2022, Hermès took over a large empty space at the Somerset Collection Mall in Troy, Michigan to showcase Hermès in the Making, a week-long interactive exhibition featuring the craftsmanship of the French artisans who have protected and nurtured the know-how of Hermès products for generations. Each artisan was stationed at a designated workshop and offered demonstrations to give guests a rare close-up look at how some of the brand's most well-known pieces are created. Some of the products on display included custom leather saddles, silk-printed scarves, and Hermès' iconic leather handbags. Each item was hand-crafted in real time in front of guests, who came from all over the city to experience the unique exhibition.
